The Neurological Alliance of Ireland's Standards of Care documents were compiled by the NAI in conjunction with an expert panel from the fields of Neurology, psychology, psychiatry, pharmacy and rehabilitative medicine.
These three documents, which should be viewed as a unit, present a comprehensive view of the current problems in the provision of services for those with Neurological conditions and an outline of the proposed solutions.
The SOC documents examine problems in relation to the management of Neurological conditions in the health services, but they also review the difficulties faced by this group in relation to employment opportunities, transport, access to information and support and social integration and acceptance.
