| The Dementia Services Information and Development Centre (DSIDC) first established in 1998 and located in St. James Hospital is a national resource centre for health service professionals working in the area of dementia across Ireland. It is a centre of excellence which aims to promote best practice in dementia care and to improve and expand services for all those affected by dementia. The centre provides three core professional services, namely education and training, research and development and information services. It has a well resourced reference library at St.James, which contains journals, books, reports, videos and offers access to relevant databases.
