Aisling is the CEO of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association whom she joined in May 2013 having returned from Tanzania where she held the position of Director and assisted in the set-up of the first Children's Cancer NGO in Tanzania. Previous to this Aisling was the Director of Services with Epilepsy Ireland from 2007 - 2011, during this time Aisling was a Board Member of the Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI), Secretary of the European Executive Committee, International Bureau for Epilepsy and member of the Health Policy Group, Joint Epilepsy Council of UK and Ireland.

Previous to this she was the Community Services Manager for Rehabcare in Bray and the Camp Director in Barretstown from 2002 to 2005.

Aisling has a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Organisational and Social Psychology from the London School of Economics.

One of Aisling's main interests is advocating on behalf of people with neurological conditions to ensure best practice and improve the level of care for people with neurological conditions in Ireland.

Aisling was appointed to the NAI Board in October 2013
