This conference will focus on future policy in the area of brain research and healthcare and will be targeted at policy makers. The conference's objectives will be (i) to reinforce co-ordination and optimization of resources in brain research and healthcare, (ii) to develop European and national brain research and healthcare strategies and (iii) to lift taboos associated with brain health issues. It will engage international leaders in brain research and healthcare from around the globe, particularly European and national governmental representatives, funding agencies, capital venture, industry, scientists, research organisations, patient organisations, clinicians and represenatives of national healthcare systems.

The conference is being organised by the Irish Government in collaboration with the European Commission as part of events for Irelands EU presidency
