The European Forum on Epilepsy Research Conference
Convention Centre Dublin
Organised by Epilepsy Advocacy Europe, the Joint Task Force of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) and the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE).
As the first EU funded conference on Epilepsy Research, this Forum will be a pivotal moment for epilepsy research in Europe. This forum aims to bring together all the key European stakeholders to discuss strategies for increased funding for epilepsy research, including researchers, clinicians, epileptologists, neurologists, primary care physicians, basic neuroscientists, social workers, epilepsy specialist nurses, medical & postgraduate students, the pharmaceutical industry, other industries developing diagnostic and treatment tools, care professionals, lay organisations, persons with epilepsy, health policy makers and government representatives.
The event will address 3 defined goals:
- More focused research funding, to improve diagnosis and treatment.
- To raise public awareness and reduce stigma associated with epilepsy.
- Access to optimal standards of care across Europe, for people with epilepsy.
