The "We Need Our Heads Examined" campaign for action on neurorehabilitation welcomed Minister Finian McGrath comments today that the long awaited implementation plan for neurorehabilitation services will soon be released. 

Speaking in reply to a question from Fianna Fail TD Margaret Murphy O Mahony, the Minister outlined that the implementation plan will be released "in the coming weeks" which in his understanding should be before the end of the year. 

The campaign has already highlighted a number of weaknesses in the plan that need to be addressed before it is published. These include the need for accountability at Ministerial level and representation from the Department of Health in the proposed implementation structures.
