HDAI is a national voluntary organisation established by HD family members to provide consultation, information and individualised support to those diagnosed with Huntington's Disease, their families and their health care teams. The Association was formally launched in 1985 and was incorporated in 1998. HDAI is a Registered Charity and is financed through the generosity of foundations, the statutory sector, members and friends.

Their work involves support and information for everyone with HD and their families. Confidentiality is guaranteed. HDAI employ a Director of Information and Administration and a Development & Family Support Officer.
