Findings from national research on services for people with Parkinson's disease were presented earlier this month in an online event organised by the Irish Gerontological Society.

The event "Changing Horizons in Gerontology" presented the findings from research carried out by Dr Emma O Shea, Centre for Gerontology and Rehabilitation in University College Cork.

The project is led by Professor Suzanne Timmons with co-leads Professor Orla Hardiman and Paula Gilmore, CEO of the Parkinsons Association of Ireland.

The presentation provides a comprehensive insight into the challenges facing people with Parkinson's disease in accessing services, including specialist nurse and other multidisciplinary care for their condition

The recording is available on the website of the Irish Gerontological Society HERE
