On Thursday March 9th, the Neurological Alliance of Ireland and its member organisations will join with Clinical Leads from across neurological care to brief elected representatives in Leinster House ahead of National Brain Awareness Week.

The briefing will highlight the need for investment in services for the over 800,000 Irish people living with a neurological condition. The World Health Organisation has called on governments worldwide to prioritise brain health, outlining that one in three people will develop a neurological condition at some point in their lifetime.

The presentation will focus on the NAI's current Patients Deserve Better campaign, calling for the access to community neurorehabilitation teams for people with neurological conditions throughout Ireland. Currently only 15% of Irish neurological patients have access to a community neurorehabilitation team.
