The Neurological Alliance of Ireland Neurology Insights Project is designed to provide a comprehensive resource to support NAI advocacy and inform policy in relation to the development of neurology services.
Ten years on from the publication of the Model of Care, the research project aims to provide an up to date insight into current resourcing and service provision through a nationwide survey of neurology centres, lived experience focus groups and indepth interviews with clinicians.
The report from the project Towards an Equitable Integrated Neurology Service for Ireland was launched on 22nd April 2026 highlighting critical gaps in resourcing and access to service across the country and calling for policy action and investment to tackle regional inequity, gaps in multidisciplinary care and staffing deficits across neurology services.
