EU Presidency 2026

Ireland's Presidency of the EU Council 2026

Ireland’s Presidency of the EU in 2026 represents a vital opportunity to increase the profile of neurological conditions at both national and European levels. With neurological conditions now a leading cause of disability across Europe, the Presidency provides a strategic platform to join our voice here in Ireland to the growing calls for a more integrated approach to neurological conditions across the EU.

I SUPPORT Brain Awareness Week Video Series

Cynthia Ní Mhurchú MEP for Ireland South, Billy Kelly MEP for Ireland South and Nina Carberry MEP Ireland's Midlands North West show their support for the over 860,000 living in Ireland with a neurological condition, and bring political awareness to Brain Awareness Week. They reminds us that brain ill health and neurological conditions now represent the leading cause of disability worldwide.

With Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the EU fast approaching, we are delighted to be working with them to highlight the importance of this both in Ireland and in Europe.
