Elena Moro is Professor of Neurology at Université Grenoble Alpes and heads the Department of Psychiatry, Neurology, Neurological Rehabilitation and Forensic Medicine at CHU Grenoble, France. She studied medicine in Trieste, completed neurology training in Rome, and a fellowship in movement disorders in Grenoble. After a PhD in neurosciences, she joined Toronto Western Hospital, Canada, where she directed the surgical programme for movement disorders. Her research focuses on restoring brain function, especially through deep brain stimulation. She has published over 200 papers and previously served on the EAN Board as Treasurer and Secretary General.
